Our History
The Regional Print Centre (RPC) is a joint project, funded by Coleg Cambria and the Arts Council of Wales.
The Regional Print Centre has for 20 years been a leading centre for the development of creative printmaking. It’s based in Wrexham North Wales and housed in the Memorial Art Building, Coleg Cambria Yale site. Visit the Google map here
The Centre was started by 2 passionate printmakers Luci Melegari and Anna Adair who saw the potential to use the college’s print studio as a creative hub for printmakers in the region to provide an open access facility dedicated to supporting, training and promoting printmaking in its many different forms. Luci remains involved with the centre but sadly Anna passed away leaving the RPC as a legacy to her endeavours.
Our Aims
The RPC continues to provide opportunities for our members. We aim to teach, encourage and nurture new creatives and help established artists develop their approach to printmaking, over the years the staff has changed at the centre but the enthusiasm of the membership and the ethos carries on.
What we do
The RPC offers open access printmaking facilities, workshops, courses and events for those who are new to printmaking as well as professional development for more experienced printmakers and artists. The centre also coordinates specialist classes, lectures and demonstrations for art groups, schools, colleges and community groups.
